The full answer
Before Nomina, the client ran HR and payroll on spreadsheets, email approvals and disconnected tools. Closing a single payroll cycle took the HR team four to five days each month, employees could not see their own leave balances or payslips, and statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax and TDS were calculated by hand with no audit trail.
Creuto delivered 13+ modules for five user roles: employee, manager, HR admin, finance admin and super admin. The payroll engine calculates gross pay, deductions and net pay from salary structures, attendance and leave data, and generates payslips automatically. Attendance comes from biometric devices, web check-in and GPS-based mobile check-in for field staff.
Compliance is automated, with statutory rules built into the engine and Form 16 generated at year end. Employees use the React Native app to apply for leave, submit expense claims with receipts, declare tax-saving investments and download payslips. Performance appraisals, loans and advances, and a structured exit process are handled in the same system.
The platform was built in 20 weeks from kick-off to full rollout on React and Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL and AWS, with three months of historical payroll run in parallel to confirm accuracy. Payroll processing went from five days to one. Read the case study, or contact Creuto if you are replacing spreadsheet-based HR.
