The full answer
Self-hosting gives you full control over where data goes and how long it is kept. The model runs on servers you control, typically on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure in the region you choose, and is reached only by your own applications.
There are trade-offs. Self-hosted models need GPU infrastructure, monitoring and updates, and the most capable commercial models may still perform better on some tasks. Creuto compares self-hosted and managed options on your real use case before you commit.
A middle path is also common: using a commercial model through a cloud provider's managed service in a specific region, with contractual data protections. For many organisations this meets privacy requirements with less operational effort.
Where self-hosting is the right fit, Creuto handles model selection, serving, scaling, security hardening and monitoring, and can fine-tune or adapt the model to your domain where that measurably improves results.
The infrastructure is defined in code with tools such as Terraform and deployed through CI/CD, so it can be reviewed, reproduced and handed to your team.
