About the Role

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer with 1 to 3 years of experience to design intuitive, accessible, and visually refined experiences across our web and mobile products. You will own the design process end to end, from early discovery and user research through to high-fidelity prototypes and design handoff to engineering.

This is a hands-on role. You will be expected to think deeply about user problems, move fast from idea to testable prototype, and care as much about how something works as how it looks. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ship experiences that users love.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead end-to-end design for product features across web and mobile, from problem framing and user flows through to polished, production-ready UI.
  • Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to deeply understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
  • Create wireframes, journey maps, information architecture diagrams, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
  • Design and maintain a scalable, consistent design system including components, tokens, and documentation for engineering handoff.
  • Collaborate with product managers to shape requirements and ensure design decisions are grounded in both user needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure pixel-accurate implementation, providing clear specs and being available to answer design questions during development.
  • Run and synthesise usability tests, analyse user behaviour data, and use insights to continuously improve existing experiences.
  • Present design work clearly to stakeholders, articulate the reasoning behind design decisions, and incorporate feedback constructively.
  • Contribute to defining design principles, processes, and quality standards as the design function grows.
  • Stay current on design trends, platform guidelines for iOS, Android, and web, and emerging tools including AI-assisted design workflows.

You Might Thrive in This Role If You

  • Have 1 to 3 years of experience designing digital products, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong UI craft, UX thinking, and shipped work.
  • Are highly proficient in Figma and use it fluently for everything from early sketches to detailed component libraries and developer handoff.
  • Think in systems, not screens, and care about consistency, reusability, and scalability across every design decision you make.
  • Have strong user empathy and ground your design decisions in real user behaviour rather than personal preference or aesthetic instinct alone.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and can take a loosely defined problem, shape it into a clear design brief, and move quickly to solutions.
  • Collaborate well with engineers and understand the technical constraints of building for web and mobile without needing to write code yourself.
  • Can communicate design rationale clearly in writing and in presentations, and do not rely on the design alone to speak for itself.
  • Hold a high personal bar for visual quality, typography, spacing, and interaction detail, and notice when something is one pixel off.
  • Are curious about how AI is changing the design process and are open to experimenting with AI tools to work faster and more creatively.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience designing for both B2C and B2B products across different complexity levels and user types.
  • Familiarity with motion design and micro-interactions using tools like Principle, ProtoPie, or Lottie.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS that helps you communicate more precisely with frontend engineers.
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, or Mixpanel to inform design with behavioural data.
  • Background in conducting moderated or unmoderated user research sessions and synthesising findings into actionable insights.
  • Exposure to accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 and experience designing inclusive interfaces.
  • Prior experience working in an early-stage startup where design scope was broad and the design system was built from scratch.
