Node.js Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Node.js Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience to build and maintain the server-side systems and APIs that power our products. You will design RESTful and GraphQL services, manage database integrations, and work closely with frontend engineers to deliver fast and reliable backend features.

In This Role, You Will

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services using Node.js, Express.js, or Fastify.
• Design and optimise database schemas and queries for PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Build authentication and authorisation systems using JWT and OAuth 2.0.
• Integrate third-party APIs including payment gateways, notification services, and cloud storage.
• Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality through active participation in code reviews.
• Work with DevOps on containerised deployments and cloud infrastructure.
• Debug and resolve production issues and implement lasting solutions.
• Document APIs clearly and keep technical documentation up to date.

You Might Thrive in This Role If You

• Have 2 to 4 years of Node.js development experience with production APIs.
• Are proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript patterns including async/await and Promises.
• Have a strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and HTTP fundamentals.
• Think about security, performance, and reliability from the start of every feature.
• Can collaborate effectively with frontend engineers and clearly communicate API contracts.

Bonus If You Have

Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
Familiarity with Redis for caching and session management.
Knowledge of message queues such as RabbitMQ or AWS SQS.
Exposure to AI or LLM API integrations within Node.js backend services.
